The Nebraska City Housing Authority was created as a Rotary project in 1962. The express purpose of creating NCHA was to provide Otoe County with affordable housing choices to the elderly residents of Otoe County. In 1964 Riverview Terrace and Department of Housing and Urban Development signed a contract making Riverview Terrace a Public Housing Authority.
Nebraska City Housing Authority has remained a valuable service to Nebraska City residents and the surrounding areas, assisting over 6,750 persons find affordable and safe housing since 1964.
The NCHA staff are dedicated to the philosophy of offering affordable and safe housing, that provides pathways to improved well-being and self suffiencincy.

Kyle has lived with us here a Nebraska City Housing Authority since 2010. Kyle brings with him a sense of community and enjoys activities here at NCHA. Kyle worked very hard with Tracy to become NCHA Resident Events Coordinator. He loves his job and has met many amazing tenants who have become good friends. His interest are NASCAR, Bowling, and Special Olympics. Kyle enjoys planning events, hosting fundraisers, and meeting the other tenants.
