Who We Are

The Nebraska City Housing Authority was created as a Rotary project in 1962. The express purpose of creating NCHA was to provide Otoe County with affordable  housing choices to the elderly residents of Otoe County. In 1964 Riverview Terrace and Department of Housing and Urban Development signed a contract making Riverview Terrace a Public Housing Authority.

What We Do

Nebraska City Housing Authority has remained a valuable service to Nebraska City residents and the surrounding areas, assisting over 6,750 persons find affordable and safe housing since 1964. 

The NCHA staff are dedicated to the philosophy of offering affordable and safe housing, that provides pathways to improved well-being and self  suffiencincy.

Meet The Team

Tracy Wieckhorst, B.S, CMPO

Tracy Wieckhorst has served the Nebraska City community in many ways. Her passion is in Human Services Administration Tracy believes affordable and safehousing is a solid foundation to build up from, holding housing as a foundation she has served as NCHA Executive Director for over 13 years. Prior to Nebraska City Housing Authority, Tracy worked for Region V Services for 15 years. Tracy's passion is in the Human Services Field and she serves in many capacities within her community to support and promote housing.

Karen Driever B.S,CPSWS

Karen has spent a large portion of her career in the human services field both in public housing and volunteerism. Karen also see the value of affordable safe housing as a mechanism to change Through her multiple roles serving people in our community she has honed her skills and education to become a perfect fit for NCHA. Karen serves as the Resident Services Coordinator, providing Case Management and service coordination for the tenants at Nebraska City Housing.

Cody Manthei, MPA,CPSWS

Ms. Manthie came to NCHA in 2017 she brings with her strong strategic planning and grant writing skills. Ms. Manthei has over

 15 years of experience in the behavioral health filed. 

Ms. Manthei is passionate for human services works. Ms. Manthei brings shared lived experience to public housing as she utilized affordable public housing as a foundation to make changes in her life.

Meet the Team

David M. Ramold, NCHA Maintaince Director

Dave and his wife have honorably served their country early on in their lives and continuing today. Dave brings to NCHA  a long history of heavy equipment operations and maintenance on large machinery and projects. Dave began capentery moving into owning his own capentery business for many years bringing  both external and internal structural expertise.

Dave originates from Iowa bringing with him a degree in mechanics from Iowa Western University. Dave has a background in repair and maintenance. Dave also is employed at Nebraska City Public Schools enjoying the youth and their energy.

Kyle has lived with us here a Nebraska City Housing Authority since 2010. Kyle brings with him a sense of community and enjoys activities here at NCHA. Kyle worked very hard with Tracy to become NCHA Resident Events Coordinator. He loves his job and has met many amazing tenants who have become good friends. His interest are NASCAR, Bowling and Special Olympics m tenants in activities. Kyle enjoys planning events, hosting fundraisers, and meeting the other tenants.
